Joshua Barrick – 40, Juliana Farmer – 57, Tommy Elliott – 63, and Jamet Tut – 64 lives were lost shortly before the bank opened when the 23 year old lone gunman entered the bank and who was said to have been seen carrying a “long gun” opened fire upon the four. Others had the presence of mind to hide inside the bank vault where law enforcemnt was called. We know that within 3 minutes 2 brave officers arrived and engaged and killed the shooter were also shot themselves, one critically in the head, and hospitalized and underwent surgery and whose conditions is critical but stable. The shooter was live streaming the event. This is a new phenomena within the american active shooter mindset forcing someone to witness their crimes, This will now become the trend of active shooters and mass murderers going forward. The Christ Church mass murderer, the Buffalo Tops Super market White Nationalist racist shooter were also live streaming the event. This should not continue to happen, but police departments will have to continue to face this horrific violence on a regular basis is why they all continue to participate in Active Shooter Training. Financial institutions are no strangers to the idea of possible violence, however no one may ever suspected the young bank intern who was about to be terminated from the bank would be the threat to come from within. His parents when they heard the news drove to the bank suspecting that it could be him. Did they have knowledge of his behavior that they chose to not to address and if they had, might have prevented this tragendy today? Whose to say, that they their actions didn’t prevent other mass shootings that their son might have done at a store, or at his school?
